EKT Services

EKT Services is the client-facing app of the maintenance department at Elegant Kitchen Trading in Doha, Qatar. Every client company gets one place to raise maintenance requests for its kitchen equipment, follow the work while it happens, and read the reports afterwards — instead of calling the office for a status update.

Signing in opens a dashboard built around the client's own equipment: how many requests are open, pending, completed or high priority, a status and priority breakdown for the whole company, announcements from EKT, and the most recent maintenance requests with their progress. A new request captures the branch, the machine, a title, a description, a priority and attachments, and goes straight to the maintenance department.

Each request keeps its own page: the location and equipment it belongs to, the reported problem, the timeline from "requested" to "completed", and the service reports the technicians file against it — so the full history of a machine stays with the machine.

Version 2.0 made branches and machines first-class data. A client company can hold several branches, each branch its own list of machines, and every request points at one exact machine. That is what makes the reporting section work: preventive and on-request reports, filtered by date range and branch, with completion rate, status breakdown and per-machine history that clients read themselves.

One Flutter codebase ships to both the App Store and Google Play, with a Laravel REST API and admin panel behind it for accounts, branches, machines, technicians, request routing and reports. A companion staff app, EKT Services Staff, puts the assigned jobs in the technicians' hands.

First released in November 2024 and rebuilt for version 2.0 in August 2025 (new interface, machines and branches, client access to reports). Version 2.0.2 is live on both stores: iOS 15 / iPadOS 15 and later, Android, 26 MB, rated 4+ — and the app collects no user data, with everything encrypted in transit.
